The -b flag is now fully supported without known bugs

    -b  Enable Babelfish fallback when Google fails.

https://redmine.sputnick-area.net/issues/show/13 is now solved. A new flags comes with this new version

    -f  <google|babelfish> Force Babelfish or Google translation.

That way, you can choose the backend that fits your needs.
